Complete Steps Using the Epson M1140–M3180 Program Adjustment
Once the Epson M1140–M3180 Adjustment-Program file has been successfully downloaded and extracted, you can immediately perform the Waste Ink Pad Counter reset process to restore the printer’s function to its original function. Follow each step carefully to get optimal and safe results for your device.
1. Preparation Before Reset
Before running the reset process, make sure all components and connections are in a ready condition. This preparation stage is important so that the system can read the device correctly without interference with communication errors.
The preparation steps are as follows:
- Make sure the printer is in “Ready” condition and connected using an original Epson USB cable. Avoid using a third-party USB cable as it may cause an unstable connection.
- Make sure the Epson printer driver is installed correctly on your computer. You can check the status of the driver through the Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Close all other applications (especially antivirus or printer monitoring software) before running the reset program to avoid system conflicts.
With proper preparation, the reset process will run faster, and there is less risk of failure.
2. Run the Reset Program
Once everything is ready, run the Adjustment-Program Epson app to perform the reset. Here are the detailed steps:
- Right-click on the AdjProg.exe → file and select Run as Administrator to make sure the program has full permissions.
- On the main display, select the printer model that suits your device, such as the Epson M1140, M2140, M3170, or M3180.
- Click the Particular Adjustment Mode menu.
- Select the Waste Ink Pad Counter option, and then press OK.
- Check the Main Pad Counter, then click the Check button to display the current status of the ink pad.
- Once the counter value appears, press Initialize to reset the count to zero.
- Wait for the process to complete, then turn off the printer and turn it back on to apply the changes.
If the above steps are executed correctly, the “Service Required” message will disappear and the printer will return to normal function.
