Step 3: Run the Program as an Administrator
Admin access rights are absolutely required for the program to communicate with the printer driver.
- Go to the extraction results folder.
- Right-click on a file named AdjProg.exe (or similar executable file).
- Select “Run as administrator”.
- Click “Yes” on the User Account Control (UAC) pop-up.
Step 4: Choose the Right Printer Model
Now the Adjustment Program interface will open.
- In the dropdown menu or model list, carefully select your printer model: EPSON L14150 or EPSON L14158.
- Choosing the wrong model can potentially cause firmware damage.
Step 5: Connect the Printer to the Computer
- Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the computer via a USB cable.
- In the program, there will usually be a “Port Selection” option. Let the program detect the port automatically.
- Click the “OK” or “Particular Adjustment Mode” button to enter the main menu.
Step 6: Select the Waste Ink Pad Counter Reset Function
- In the menu, look for the option related to “Waste Ink Pad Counter”. This is our main goal.
- Click on the option to select it.
Step 7: Read and Confirm the Reset
The program will display the current counter status information. You’ll see a percentage value that is likely to indicate 100% or “Full”.
- Check the boxes available as confirmation before performing the reset.
Step 8: Execute the Reset Process
- Click the Check button, then continue with Initialization. Wait a few seconds for the program to display the message.
- DON’T DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE OR TURN OFF THE PRINTER DURING THE PROCESS!
- Wait patiently for a dialog to appear with the message “Completed!”, “Success!”, or “Please turn off the printer”.
Step 9: Restart the Printer Completely (Power Cycle)
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Unplug the printer’s power cord from the power outlet or power source.
- Wait at least 30 seconds. This step is essential for refreshing the printer’s memory.
- Reinstall the power cord and turn on the printer.
Step 10: Verify Success
- Once the printer is turned on, try to perform a Nozzle Check from your computer or printer panel.
- If the printer returns to normal function and the ink pad counter error disappears, the process is successful!
Important Note: This process only resets the counter by software. It is not a substitute for replacing a physical absorption pad (foam) that is already full. For long-term use and printer health, foam replacement is still required.
