Reset Epson ET-2600/ET-2650 Printer: Download Adjustment Program and Be Free from Waste Ink Errors!

Important Preparation:

  1. Turn on the Epson ET-2600 or ET-2650 printer.
  2. Make sure the printer is connected to the computer using a USB cable directly (not through the hub).
  3. Temporarily disable the antivirus for the program to run (as it is usually detected as a false positive).
  4. Once the process is complete, reactivate your antivirus.

Commemoration:

A reset doesn’t mean physically cleaning! This process only resets the Waste Ink Counter software count, not replacing or washing the waste ink pad inside the printer. If the foam is saturated due to a long service life, the ink can overflow and damage the printer’s mainboard.

Step 3: Run the Adjustment Program and Perform a Reset

After all the preparations are complete, it’s time to do the reset process with the Epson ET2600 ET2650 Adjustment-Program. Follow the following guidelines in order:

  1. Extract the downloaded RAR file using com password.
  2. Right-click on the AdjProg.exefile and selectRun as Administrator.”
  3. When the program window opens, select your printer model (ET-2600 or ET-2650).
  4. Click the  menu “Particular Adjustment Mode.”
  5. Select the  option “Waste Ink Pad Counter.”
  6. The program will display the value of the used ink counter. Check the  box “Main Pad Counter”, then click “Check” and continue with “Initialization.”
  7. Wait until the process reaches 100%. The printer may restart automatically.
  8. Once the process is complete, turn off the printer manually, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

Step 4: Troubleshooting & Post-Reset Advanced Actions

After a successful reset, there are a few important steps you need to take to ensure that your printer continues to function optimally in the long run.

Addressing Common Issues

  • The program does not detect the printer:
Make sure that the USB cable is plugged in properly and that the printer driver is installed on the computer.
  • “Communication Error” message:
Try replacing the USB port or using a better quality USB cable.
  • Reset stops at 99%:
Don’t panic. Shut down the printer and computer, then repeat the process from scratch by running the program as an Administrator.

Advanced Measures for Long-Term Security

  1. Check the Physical Condition of the Waste Ink Pad:
If the printer has been used for a long time, open it and check the condition of the ink-absorbing foam. When it’s full, clean it up or replace it with a new one.
  2. Reduce Excessive Head Cleaning:
The Head Cleaning feature drains a lot of ink into the absorbent pad. Do this only when the print starts to be lined. This helps to extend the life of the pad and prevent ink leakage.
  3. Use Quality and Original Ink:
Non-original ink can cause deposits that accelerate the full filling of the waste ink pad and clog the printhead.
