3. How to Reset the Waste Ink Pad Counter Using the Adjustment Program

Once the Epson XP-211 XP-214 XP-411 Adjustment Program file has been successfully executed, follow these steps to reset the Waste Ink Pad Counter to get the printer back to normal and to be able to print normally.

Reset Steps:

1. Open the Adjustment Program application.

Once the program opens, wait for the main view to appear perfectly before moving on to the next stage.

2. Choose the appropriate printer model.

In the list of printer models, select the one according to the device you are using:

  • Epson XP-211
  • epson xp-214
  • Epson XP-411

3. Go to the “Particular Adjustment Mode” menu.

This menu contains a variety of printer service functions, including EEPROM settings, maintenance, and counter resets.

4. Select the menu “Waste Ink Pad Counter” and click OK.

This feature is used to reset the waste ink counter, which causes the message “Service Required”.

5. Check the “Main Pad Counter” option.

Make sure the checkbox on the Main Pad Counter is enabled, as this is the center of the ink discharge on the Epson printer.

6. Click the “Initialize” button.

Wait a few moments for the reset process to complete. The program will display a notification that the process was successful.

7. Turn off the printer, then turn it back on.

Once the process is complete, turn off the printer for a few seconds and then turn it back on.

The printer should no longer display the message “Service Required” and can be used as before.
