6. Clear Chrome Cache and Cookies
When you don’t empty your Chrome cache for a long time or when cache ad cookies are incorrect, a large amount of memory is used up and triggers the issue of Chrome consuming too much memory.
7. Resetting or Reinstalling Chrome
You can resolve the issue of Chrome consuming too much RAM by resetting or reinstalling Google Chrome.
Resetting will restore all settings to the original settings, disable extensions and delete cookies and temporary site data.

If Resetting didn’t resolve the issue, you can try it out by first removing Chrome and installing it again.
