Step 4: Run the Reset Waste Ink Pad Counter
This is the most critical moment. When the window “Waste Ink Pad Counter” opens:
- Click the “Check” button to view the current status of the counter
- You’ll see a percentage of ±100% or more – this confirms the problem
- Check the box next to “Main Pad Counter”
- Take a deep breath, then click the button “Initialization”
- Wait for the message “The waste ink pad counter has been reset” or similar
- Turn off the printer via the power button – do not unplug the power!

Step 5: Finalize and Test Print
After a successful reset:
- Turn your Epson L3060 printer back on
- The indicator light should be normal (stable green, not flashing)
- Perform “Nozzle Check” through the utility printer software to ensure:
- All nozzles spray ink perfectly
- There are no dotted lines on the test pattern
- Accurate and unmixed colors
If the nozzle check is good and the printer can print normally, congratulations! Your reset was successful. But remember, this is just a software solution. Physical waste pads will need to be cleaned or replaced at some point.
